Chris is engaged in a diverse corporate and securities practice and has represented clients in a variety of industries, including real estate, life sciences, high technology, entertainment, oil and gas, telecommunications and marketing. Chris advises clients on various corporate and transactional matters through all stages of the business life cycle – formation and operation, equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and licensing, commercial contracts, joint ventures, and employment-related matters. He has represented issuers and investors in public offerings and private placement transactions, including early- and later-stage venture capital financings and debt financings, and routinely provides advice regarding periodic SEC reporting, compliance and corporate governance matters. In addition, he has served as outside general counsel to a number of publicly and privately held businesses and has advised in domestic and cross-border transactions.
Before advising in an independent contractor capacity to a number of clients, including boutique and AmLaw 100 firms, Chris was an attorney in the California offices of top international law firms. During law school, he served as Editor of the Cornell Law Review and was President of the Asian-American Law Students Association.
